Let your creativity shine!

Something new for Try It Tuesdays this Spring session

Try it Tuesdays were born on the idea that I wanted to give people the ability to try out any and all creative mediums that might spark their interest, and in all honesty, my interest. I provide the supplies, and we all dive in and just try things together, but it leads to a lot of jumping around and doesn’t really allow us to get deep into exploration mode. For this Spring session, I thought we would explore Linocut Printmaking three different ways for three months in a row. You can pick your favorite topic, or purchase a club pass to attend all three at a discount. I can’t wait to paint with you this winter!

Upcoming Events

  • A relaxed, guided workshop where participants will learn the materials needed to assemble a flower press. Once we’ve assembled our presses, we will venture out into the flower garden to clip stems for pressing. Join me next month and use some of your pressed stems in the Cyantoype Printing workshop.

  • Use the power of sunlight to print beautiful silhouettes of nature clipped from the garden. If you joined me last month to build a flower press, bring along some of your pressed stems, and we’ll use them to make beautiful cyanotype prints. Don’t worry, though, even if you weren’t here last month, there are plenty of fresh blooms in the garden to clip and print!

  • We built flower presses in July, and you’ve had all summer to press stems, and now it’s time to use those stems to make some art. I’ll teach you how to adhere them to beautiful papers to create gorgeous, timeless pressed-flower art pieces that preserve your blooms and display them in your home.
